A group of six of us from Community Heights Alliance Church have the exciting opportunity of going to Mali, West Africa this fall (September 3-14) to minister to our Christian & Missionary Alliance missionaries serving in that region of the world. Pastor Cory was asked by our Alliance Mission field in Africa to come speak at the weeklong “African Field Forum Conference” and to bring a team with him to provide nursery, childcare, teen ministry and worship. Our primary purpose is to encourage the missionaries serving in Africa. We want to be a source of blessing for these missionaries, who are faithfully serving the Lord. Please pray for us as it’s a huge time commitment to plan and prepare for such a trip.

Preparing for the Journey

Our visas came in the mail for all six of us!! We all received a one-year multiple entry visa expiring 9/5/09. Praise the lord!
Please pray that the location of the field forum conference we'll be helping with will be located at Teriya Bugu, instead of the guest house in Koutiala. That way, it would be a retreat/respite for those who live in Koutiala (Braafharts, Wrights, and other families)."

The missions team going to Mali in September will be bussing tables at the Pizza Ranch Restaurant the evening of Monday, August 18, 2008. Pizza Ranch owner, Troy Knight, has graciously offered to give our Mali team the tips plus 10% of the sales for the evening in exchange for their services. All money received would be collected together, given to the church office and deposited as a non-tax deductible contribution to the Mali Missions account. A reminder that giving may also be designated to the Mali Mission's fund by marking your offering envelope.

The ladies are here for Alliance Women and have asked about your progress/team/trip! They will pray for you I'm sure this am as will I. I'm sorry I missed being here to pray and send you off! I was at the EC - working of course!

We have had you all on our hearts & minds since the minute you left the church. We continue to pray for travel mercies, good health, that luggage arrive in good shape & in good time, but most of all that the missionaries will be blessed & Jesus will be glorified!
